Martin Jol hopes youngster Buomesca Tue Na Bangna can break into Fulham’s first-team squad next season.

The talented teenager committed his long-term future to Craven Cottage earlier this month, but is yet to make his full debut for the Whites.

‘Mesca’ joined Fulham from Chelsea in 2011 and impressed in first-team friendlies last summer, only for his progress to be hampered by a serious knee injury.

However, the Portuguese 19-year-old is back to full fitness and on the fringe’s of Jol’s squad.

“It is not easy for him, of course, but it is easy for me,” he said.

“I’ve got five or six flank players and he was one of them in pre-season. He has one great quality: he has a lot of pace. He’s very quick so we decided to give him a long-term contract.

“He is not the finished article and has a long way to go, I think he is a very talented young Portuguese international.”
