Alex Kacaniklic believes Fulham can use their New Year’s Day win at West Brom as a springboard to reignite their stuttering season.

The Swedish international scored the winner as the Whites secured their first Premier League victory at the Hawthorns and Kacaniklic is targeting a strong second half showing. The 21 year-old was relieved that Martin Jol’s side managed to record their first win in three weeks against the high-flying Baggies:

We needed a win. We’ve been unlucky with results for the past two months. We needed to start the New Year well. If you look at the squad, we have great players and we just haven’t played as well as we can. Hopefully now we can get going again.

For the first few games we were high up the table. But two wins out of the last 13 games is not good enough for us. We should be higher up than we are. We should get into that top 10.
