Reports are gathering momentum that injury-struck 24 year old goalkeeper Sinan Bolat (pictured) is set to join Fulham when the transfer window reopens in January. The Turkey international, who is the only goalkeeper to score from open play in the Champions League, displayed impressive form last season with 19 clean sheets in 52 games, and has been training with Fulham since the summer during his rehabilitation from a knee injury. It has been suggested the London club would pay his current employers Standard Liege around £800,000 for the keeper who is expected to provide tough competition for Mark Schwarzer as Fulham’s number one – although where this leaves fellow goalie David Stockdale it’s unknown.

Meanwhile, German paper Bild is reporting Alexander Madlung is to transfer to Fulham on a free. The centre half, aged 30, is currently contracted to Wolfsburg and would be reunited with ex-team mates Sascha Riether and Ashkan Dejagah, and Fulham fans might recall he scored his sides only goal with a late header in Fulham’s 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.
