Fulham forward Marcello Trotta has joined local rivals Brentford on loan until January.

The Bees could give the Italian youth international a debut against Sheffield United tomorrow. Trotta, who scored eight goals in eight games on loan at Wycombe last season, is expected to go straight into Uwe Rosler’s matchday squad.

The powerful striker came through the Napoli academy before being brought to England by Manchester City. Bees sporting director Mark Warburton was delighted to seal the loan deal:

“Marcello is a player we have admired for a long period. He has been very near to joining several Championship clubs over the past few weeks.”
