Algerian centre back Rafik Halliche signed for Fulham from Benfica in August 2010 on the back of an impressive World Cup campaign, where he man-marked Wayne Rooney successfully during a goalless draw in the group stages. He made just one appearance for Fulham, giving away a penalty in a FA Cup tie against Peterborough, and agreed to the mutual termination of his Craven Cottage contract at the end of August 2012.
