Fulham have completed the signing of the next Moussa Dembele.
The Londoners have captured French teenage sensation Dembele, an exact namesake of the Belgian midfielder already at Craven Cottage, from Paris-Saint Germain.
The 16-year-old striker has joined Fulham from the super-rich French club for a compensation fee of ?360,000 (£284,000), which is the maximum payable under Fifa rules for international transfers involving academy players.
The deal is regarded as a huge coup for Fulham, given that Dembele is a France Under-16 player and is regarded in his homeland as the best centre-forward in his age group in the country and one of the most highly rated in Europe.
Dembele will link up with Fulham’s academy squad after he made an appearance last Saturday for the team following his arriving in the UK.
The club have high hopes for the centre-forward, whose qualities are said to include explosive pace, a wide range of finishing and Thierry Henry-style movement.
Dembele opted to join Fulham because he felt it would take too long to break into the PSG first team, which has been bolstered this summer by the arrival of expensively acquired attacking talent such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
