Agent Jan de Visser has confirmed that Fulham have already turned down one Manchester United bid for Moussa Dembele this summer.

De Visser, who acts on behalf of the SP International agency which represents the 25-year-old Belgium international, has lifted the lid on the future of the player who appears to have a clutch of clubs looking to take him from Craven Cottage.

Speaking to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, De Visser revealed that United have shown their hand by offering under £10million for Dembele, but the Cottagers snubbed the bid as they are looking to bring in more than that figure.

It is now a waiting game to see if United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will make a renewed bid to sign the player, while Real Madrid are also thought to be interested.

The Spanish champions have been trying to secure a deal for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric for several weeks but are reluctant to meet the £40million asking price.

Therefore, Dembele would represent a cheaper alternative and has proven he can operate in a central midfield role.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has always maintained his desire to keep Dembele at the club, but if an offer in the region of £15million is forthcoming it would be difficult for him to resist.
