Fulham made a £1.6m offer for Vitesse Arnhem full back Alexander Buttner, according to reports from Holland.
The attacking left back has been interesting Werder Bremen and Shakhtar Donetsk but Martin Jol believes he can convince the 23 year-old, who has made more than a hundred senior appearances since coming through the Vitesse academy, to move to Craven Cottage. Buttner travelled to London to meet with Fulham officials this week, according to the Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander.
