Fulham defender Aaron Hughes will not be taking Wigan lightly when the two sides face each other on Saturday.

The Latics have won four of their last five games, including victories against Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Stoke with their only defeat coming in controversial circumstances against Chelsea after both Blues goals appeared to be in offside positions.

“They showed what they’re capable of in that performance against Manchester United, not just the fact that they won but their attitude and the way they work hard for each other and put everything into the game,” Hughes told the club’s official website.

“We will expect exactly the same when they turn up at Craven Cottage against us, it will be no different.

“But at the same time, we are at home and our home form has been really good so if we can produce another good performance we give ourselves a very good chance.”
