Pavel Pogrebnyak was in modest mood after his hat-trick sunk Wolves on Sunday – thanking his team-mates and the Fulham fans for his fine start since arriving from Stuttgart.
The Russian striker’s treble in yesterday’s 5-0 win took his tally to five goals in just three appearances after he signed a short-term contract on transfer deadline day and the former Zenit St. Petersburg striker says he’s delighted to have made the move to London:
I’m really happy to be part of this team. We’re scoring a lot of goals and doing really well and hopefully we can continue like this until the end of the season.
I didn’t think it would be so good so early. But I’m really happy that everything is going well and I thank my team mates for everything that has happened so far. I’m really enjoying my relationship with the fans. I want to say thank you to them for welcoming me and for their great support.
