A strange article in the Daily Star on Sunday reveals Karim Al-Fayed’s apparent plan to add an allotment to Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground.

The club are thinking about serving their players with free-range eggs and fresh vegetables from the garden, according to a club source, who is quoted as saying:

We like the idea of self-sufficiency, a bit like you saw in the old TV series The Good Life I suppose. Moves are afoot to rear chickens and collect eggs first thing in the morning. It will be great when we can serve our players free-range eggs and home-grown veg.
