Fulham striker Andrew Johnson seems to be heading for the Fulham exit – and his old boss Roy Hodgson is poised to pounce.

West Brom chief Hodgson is lining up a summer swoop for Johnson, who he signed in 2008 while in charge at Craven Cottage.

Striker Johnson, 31, has been in talks over a new Fulham deal since last summer. But they have failed to agree terms and it seems he is now set to leave on a Bosman free at the end of the season.

Hodgson will face stiff competition to land Johnson, who is also on Aston Villa’s transfer wish-list. Johnson is also a long-term target for Championship promotion hopefuls West Ham.
