Fulham confirmed this morning that their young Italian striker Marcello Trotta has joined Watford on a month’s loan.
The Championship club had been monitoring the 19 year-old’s progress since he scored against their reserve side back in November and made their move after Martin Jol admitted he was considering sending Trotta out on loan again in late January. Trotta had been in fine form for Fulham’s reserve side prior to a red hot spell on loan at Wycombe, where he scored eight goals in as many games, despite the League One side being stuck in a relegation battle.
The young striker, who made his debut for the club as a substitute in the FA Cup defeat by Everton, will join Fulham team-mate Alex Kacaniklic, who is already on loan at Vicarage Road.
