The Daily Mail claims that former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is set to join Fulham until the end of the season.

The paper reports that Diarra, who is currently a free agent after being released by Monaco in the summer, has agreed a contract with Martin Jol’s side until the summer and will join up with the club this week. The Mali international, who has won 64 caps for his country, shot to prominence as a tough tackling midfielder alongside Michael Essien at Lyon and became a key part of Fabio Capello’s Madrid side.

Diarra, who moved to the Bernabeu for a fee of around £22m, made 122 appearances for Real before signing for Monaco on a free transfer last January.
