Moussa Dembele is in upbeat mood as he looks ahead to Saturday’s clash with Stoke – insisting Fulham are still looking up rather down the table – but the more revealing part of his interview with the offal comes when he talks about playing at Craven Cottage.

At home it’s different for us and I think we’re much more comfortable and our confidence is much higher. Stoke play differently away from home so it will be a different game from playing them at the Britannia. I have a lot of confidence going into Saturday’s game.

Fulham’s away record has been dire since returning to the top flight and Martin Jol has shown little sign of being able to end the travel sickness. The Whites are over-reliant on their outstanding home form – and any dip in performances at the Cottage could prove very costly indeed.
