The Daily Mail clearly haven’t paid too much attention to Martin Jol’s press conference this afternoon.

Despite the Fulham manager insisting he was keen to keep hold of Andy Johnson – and potentially convince him to stay at Craven Cottage beyond the end of his current contract in the summer – the Mail claims that Russian side Rubin Kazan and Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen to sign the 30-year old. For the record, Jol told the media this afternoon that he considered Johnson a key part of his squad, especially after his fine performance against Newcastle on Saturday, and speculated that he may even start against former club Everton in the FA Cup tomorrow night.
