The Daily Mirror claims that Fulham are the latest club to join the face for Fleetwood forward Jamie Vardy.

Martin Jol has reportedly sent his scouts to watch the 24 year-old, who scored 20 goals already this season, and Fulham representatives were alongside other top flight scouts as Vardy scored twice in the Cod Army’s 4-1 win over Barrow tonight. The 5ft 10in striker has risen to prominence with his strong performances as Fleetwood reached the third round of the FA Cup, where Vardy scored as his side were beaten by local rivals Blackpool last weekend.

Ian Holloway has already tabled a £500,000 offer after being impressed with Vardy’s performance against his side on Saturday, while Charlton have made a bid worth around £1m. West Ham are also reportedly interested in Vardy – and are expected to join the race this week.
