Reports from Holland suggest that Fulham are interested in signing Ajax’s holding midfielder Eyong Enoh.

Fulham manager Martin Jol knows the Cameroon international midfielder from his time as Ajax’s manager but will reportedly face competition from Sunderland, who have also been monitoring the 25 year-old. Enoh is under contract with the Dutch giants until 2015 but the Dutch press claim that he would be interested in a transfer.

Enoh has spent three and a half years with Ajax since signing from Ajax Cape Town, where he was voted the club’s Player of the Year in 2007/08. He has made 17 appearances this season, including five in the Champions’ League, and would reportedly be available for a fee of around £4.1m. Enoh, who has won 20 caps for his country, would not be involved in the Africa Cup of Nations as Cameroon failed to qualify.
