The Daily Mail links Fulham with a £3m move for highly-rated Crystal Palace full-back Nathaniel Clyne.

Scouts from both Fulham and Newcastle United will be in the Selhurst Park crowd to watch the 20 year-old right back on Tuesday night as the Eagles take on Cardiff City in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final. Clyne, who is being monitored by a number of top flight clubs, has so far refused to sign a contract extension with Palace and his current deal is due to expire in the summer.

The England under-21 international made his debut for Palace against Barnsley in October 2008 and quickly established himself as a first-team regular. Clyne turned down the chance to join Wolves in February 2010 and became the youngest Football League player to be an ever present during Palace’s 2010-11 Championship campaign. He was voted as the club’s Player of the Year in 2011.

Clyne has made 16 appearances for Palace this season – and 124 in total in almost four years at Selhurst Park, scoring one goal. Martin Jol has been linked with bringing in a new right back after injury ruled out Zdenek Grygera for the remainder of the season.
