The Mirror has a lovely sub-plot to tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Charlton Athletic.

The Addicks second choice goalkeeper, John Sullivan, who will replace the suspended Ben Hamer between the sticks at Craven Cottage, used to sing Bobby Zamora’s name as a Brighton fan. Now he’ll be tasked with trying to prevent the England striking from firing Fulham into the fourth round.

I was in the youth team in Brighton when he was banging in the goals for them. I don’t know him, but I am a massive Brighton fan and used to have a season ticket. I used to sing his name. He was my hero so it will be great to face him.
