Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer is disappointed to be missing games against Manchester United, Chelsea, Norwich and Arsenal

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is understandably frustrated to be sidelined with a back injury, especially with the Whites having a busy schedule coming up.

The west London club face Manchester United tonight before travelling to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day before facing Norwich and Arsenal to culminate a tough period.

Understudy David Stockdale will be forced to step into the breach to cover for the Australian.

“It (the injury) is not too bad. I need some rest at the moment. Frustrating but I know it’s the best thing for me,” Schwarzer told Talksport

“It is a tough period to miss out. This can make or break team’s seasons. We feel as if we have some momentum.

“I’m still a few weeks away. Four weeks for me is when I’m going to have more check-ups and, hopefully, if I get the all-clear then hit the ground running.

“I just hope I can get back to training sooner rather than later.
