John Arne Riise says Fulham’s confidence is high after Monday’s win over Liverpool and believes the Whites are able to beat anybody on their day.

The narrow victory vaulted Martin Jol’s side from perilously close to the relegation zone up to thirteenth in the table ahead of Saturday’s visit to Swansea.

Taking three points against Liverpool, who have been in good form lately, makes us sure that we can beat anyone. But now we look ahead to a new game against Swansea on Saturday which is going to be very hard as well.

We’ve played some very good football lately and it could have gone either way on Monday. I think a draw would have been fair, but I’m very glad Clint scored and it was a very important goal for us.

Riise now hopes Fulham can take the momentum gained from Monday’s night win into a busy run of festive fixtures.

There are a lot of games coming up now so we need to get the points as soon as possible. We have some massive teams coming up and it was a big game for us on Monday.

The table never lies, that’s the main thing. We just have to get more points on the board and start climbing up the table.

The former Liverpool defender admits beating his former club was particularly special.

I was happy to get a win and it was special for me because it was the first time that I have played against Liverpool. It was special and an emotional high when the final whistle went. I’m very happy and I really enjoyed it because it was an important three points for us.
