Dickson Etuhu is hoping for a successful return to Norwich on New Year’s Eve.

The Nigerian international made 61 appearances for the Canaries between July 2007 and January 2008 but hopes Fulham can claim a rare away win at Carrow Road on Saturday.

We’ve got Norwich away next weekend and I haven’t been back there since I left and I had a great year and a half there. I played a lot of games and scored some goals for them and I enjoyed it.

Now I’m a Fulham player though and we’ll be going there to win. We’re not going there for anything else.

The 29 year-old, who was dropped for the Boxing Day draw at Chelsea, says he enjoys the frenetic festive schedule.

I like it when the games come thick and fast. You don’t have time to dwell on past results and you can move on and do well. If you’ve had a bad game you can quickly fix it and prove to the Manager that you want to keep the shirt.

It took me a while to get that match fitness because I wasn’t playing that often but now I’m enjoying it. We’ve had some good results recently but it was a shame against Manchester United last week.
