Dijon defender Abdoulaye Bamba says he’s flattered to read about possible interest from Fulham – but has disclosed that the Premier League club have not made an official approach yet.

The right back, 21, has been outstanding for Dijon in their first season in Ligue 1 and British press reports linked Martin Jol, who is in need of a right back after Zdenek Grygera’s injury, with a move for the Ivory Coast defender.

I am flattered by the interest of clubs. Fulham have not made any contact with me and it is only paper talk so far, but if it is true I will be very happy to be linked with such a club after only a year in the French top league.

I will not lose my head, I love what is happening to me at the moment and Dijon is close to my heart also, having given me this opportunity to realise my dream.
