Martin Jol praised veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer after the Australian pulled off a superb save to earn Fulham a point at the Stadium of Light earlier this afternoon.
The 39 year-old saved Sebastian Sessegnon’s shot, which deflected off Philippe Senderos, with his feet as it flew towards goal in injury time to preserve Fulham’s clean sheet. Jol wasn’t surprised by his goalkeeper’s heroics:
He does that all the time. He’s got a lot of experience and great quality, so I am happy he is our goalkeeper.
