Martin Jol has urged his Fulham players to be clinical in front of goal if they are to record a historic win at the Emirates tomorrow.

Fulham have never won at Arsenal and with the Gunners back firing on all cylinders after a stumbling start to the season the odds are stacked against Jol’s side reversing that trend. The Fulham manager believes his team could cause a surprise, especially if they are ruthless in the final third:

We have a good, experienced team and we’re capable of getting a result on Saturday. “Our priority is to defend well but play with confidence and belief. We’ve done that in our last two away games and kept two clean sheets so we’ve got confidence.

We’re always capable of creating chances. Of course Arsenal have their strengths but they also have weaknesses like any other team. They play with a lot of possession and there’s a lot of talent in their team but they still have to rotate at the back so hopefully we can exploit the space we get.

If we can do the same as we did against Wigan and score a few goals from three or four attempts then we can get a result. We have to exploit our chances – especially in the first 30 minutes of a game. If you score the first goal it gives you a nice cushion for the rest of the game.
