Martin Jol has said he will do everything he can to keep Moussa Dembele at Craven Cottage.
The Belgian forward was quoted in a Belgian newspaper as saying that he would be interested in a move to Tottenham, who have been linked with another move for the 24 year-old, but later released a statement insisting he had been misquoted. Spurs have already had two bids for Dembele, worth around £10m, rejected and Jol is keen to keep hold of a player he clearly admires.
For me it’s important that I’ve got good players. Maybe someone told you about Tottenham, I don’t even know. There’s a lot of interest in good players and I’ve got a few. It’s about us to keep them here, and that’s what we’re trying to do.
