Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has this morning linked Fulham with a move for GAIS winger Mervan Celik.

The highly-rated Swedish under-21 international has scored 14 goals in 26 appearances in the Allsvenskan this season and is available on a Bosman as his contract expires in May. In an interview with Aftonbladet, Celik’s agent refuses to confirm that one of the clubs interested in him is Fulham, but the paper believes that the player will fly to London soon to meet with club officials.

Celik, who began his career as a striker but now usually plays on the left wing, has also been linked with a move to Atalanta in the Italian press, but no concrete offer has been forthcoming from La Dea.
