Brede Hangeland has denied reports he was to meet with Bobby Barnes from the PFA to discuss unhappiness in the Fulham squad following Martin Jol’s decision to fine Pajtim Kasami.

Tabloid reports earlier this week suggested that the young Swiss midfielder had been fined after taking a penalty against Chelsea in the League Cup when Orlando Sa was the designated penalty taker. Kasami was said to be disappointed to be sanctioned – something he has now publicly denied – and Hangeland says he hasn’t spoken to Kasami about any problems.

The Norwegian defender, who is Fulham’s PFA representative said: “I haven’t even spoken to Pajtim about this, so it’s news to me that I’ll be discussing his fine with the PFA.”
