The Gulf News is reporting that Rafik Halliche turned down the chance to join Bani Yas on loan in favour of remaining in the Premier League.

The Algerian centre back has seen his first-team chances limited since signing for Fulham last summer and is currently sweating over whether his loan move to Swansea City was completed before the close of the transfer window. The Swans are expecting to hear the result of an adjudication from the Premier League this afternoon and, according to reports, they were left waiting for registration documents to be sent from Fulham to the Premier League. The necessary papers arrived twenty minutes after the deadline.

Halliche’s agent was contacted by representatives for Bani Yas to gauge the player’s interest in moving to Dubai, but both Fulham and the player turned down the proposal.
