Fulham centre back Rafik Halliche has joined Swansea City on a five-month loan.
The Algerian international centre back had been widely tipped to leave Craven Cottage after finding first-team opportunities difficult to come by in his year at the club. Halliche had made two just substitutes’ appearances for Fulham since signing from Benfica in a £1.3m deal last summer on the back of an impressive World Cup campaign.
Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers was keen to bolster his defensive options and moved quickly to secure a loan deal for the 24 year-old which runs until January 31st. Swansea have also signed the highly-regarded 19 year-old French defender Daniel Situ from RC Lens for an initial fee of £250,000.
