A couple of media outlets are running with the news that Bjorn Helge Riise is poised to join Portsmouth on loan this week.
The Norwegian has made four appearances under Martin Jol in the Europa League but his first-team chances have been limited by Jol’s other midfield options and an untimely groin injury. The younger Riise went out on loan to Sheffield United last season and is expected to complete his move in time to be included in Steve Cotterill’s squad for Pompey’s game against Peterborough tomorrow night.
