David Stockdale has been named in the England squad for Wednesday’s friendly against Holland.
Stockdale, who is currently on loan at Ipswich, is picked alongside Joe Hart and Robert Green in a provisional 30-man squad. The 25 year-old goalkeeper played in Ipswich’s 3-0 win at Bristol City this afternoon and will hope to make an impression in training having had to pull out of the squad for the qualifier against Switzerland earlier this summer after the fixture clashed with his wedding.
There is no place for Bobby Zamora as Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck has been selected as striking cover.
