Philippe Senderos says he’s happy to wait for another chance in the Fulham first team after Martin Jol restored Aaron Hughes to the central defence for last night’s Europa League win over Dnipro.

The Swiss defender had partnered Brede Hangeland during Fulham’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, but was on the bench for the 3-0 defeat of the Ukrainians. Senderos could return to the starting line-up against Wolves on Sunday and believes that a rotation policy is sensible given the number of games Fulham could face this season.

The hard part for the manager is knowing when to rotate and keep everyone fit. Everybody should be on a good level at all times, so that when we do need to rotate players, new ones are ready to come in.

It is totally normal that with all the games there will be dips in form, but we have the squad capable of dealing with it.

Senderos says he is enjoying life at Craven Cottage.

In this stadium people are much closer to the players and already I feel their warmth. It’s nice.
