Martin Jol praised Fulham’s squad players after they seized their chance to show what they could do as the Whites beat Dnipro 3-0 at Craven Cottage tonight.
The Fulham manager rung the changes after a disappointing draw with Aston Villa on the opening day, giving first-team chances to Matthew Briggs, Stephen Kelly, Steve Sidwell and Pajtim Kasami. Jol was delighted with what he saw:
The priority for me is that I trust my players. Briggs was a revelation for me in pre-season, and Stephen Kelly had to wait for his chance and took it. He showed me why he’s here.
Kasami played 25 matches for Palermo in the Italian league, so I knew that he could play for us. I have to play all my players to look to the future.
