Martin Jol says Rafik Halliche should have a new club by the end of the transfer window.

The Fulham manager says he has been impressed with the Algerian centre back but that the former Benfica man would struggle to displace the likes of Aaron Hughes, Brede Hangeland and Philippe Senderos to gain regular first-team football at Craven Cottage. Jol is now working hard to find takers for the 24 year-old, who has made just two substitutes appearances since signing for Fulham twelve months ago.

I think Halliche is a good player – better than people give him credit for – because he couldn’t show it last season. But I’ve got different players at the back so there’s probably not an opportunity for him to play.

I’m working hard for him to find something and he’s working hard as well because if he plays for another club he can raise his profile. We hope [to move him on] before the end of the window.
