Reports from Italy claim that Fulham are closing in on the signing of Juventus defender Zdenek Grygera.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport says that Grygera is heading to London today after agreeing a severance package of around €500,000 with Juve, having been told that he no longer features in the plans of manager Antonio Conte.

The Czech international has made 100 league appearances for Juventus since leaving Ajax on a Bosman in the summer of 2007. Gygera can play anywhere across the back four, but is most comfortable in central defence or at right back. The 31 year-old has also been linked with a move to Hamburg in recent weeks.
