The Daily Mail carries confirmation of the story we brought you earlier in the day – that Fulham are increasing their offer for FC Twente’s Nacer Chadli to £8m.

Martin Jol is keen to sign the 21 year-old winger but had a £4m bid rejected by Twente, who were drawn in Fulham’s Europa League group this afternoon, last week. Joop Munsterman had been quoted in the Dutch press as saying that Fulham needed to double that offer and the Premier League club have returned with an £8m bid. Whether that will be enough to tempt Twente to sell one of their star players to a Europa League competitor remains to be seen.
