Fulham are preparing to up their offer for Cameron Jerome as Martin Jol attempts to add another striker to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

Fulham had an offer for Jerome, believed to be around the £3m mark, turned down earlier this month and Jol had previously publicly ruled out an increased offer. But the Daily Mirror claims that Fulham are readying a new offer for the 24 year-old and are confident of beating Stoke and Bolton to his signature.

Jerome scored league goals for Birmingham in 2009-10 but struggled as the Blues were relegated from the top flight last term, scoring five times in 42 games. Chris Hughton has apparently admitted that a number two of his star players, defender Scott Dann and Jerome, are likely to be sold before the window closes at the end of the month.
