Clint Dempsey has been named in the American squad for their forthcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Belgium.

The Fulham midfielder has been included in an experimental squad by new USA boss Jurgen Klinsmann and will hope to make his first appearance under the new manager. The States play Costa Rica in California on September 2 and travel to Belgium for the second game four days later.
