Simon Davies has suffered complications in his attempt to come back from a knee injury and could face another five months on the sidelines, according to Fulham manager Martin Jol.

The Welsh winger had been expected to return to full training this week but has experienced problems with the bone in his right knee and Jol believes the 31 year-old could be out of action for a long time.

Simon has a pretty tough injury. He will be out for the next couple of months. It is a technical thing. It could be four to five months.’
