Fulham have confirmed the signing of Pajtim Kasami from Palermo for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to be in the region of £3.5m.
The Swiss under-21 international midfielder has signed a four-year contract at Craven Cottage. Martin Jol sounds very happy to have got his man:
Pajtim is a young, talented midfielder who has potential, so we are very excited about signing him on a four year contract. He is a versatile midfield player who can adapt quite easily to more than one position.
He is a key player in the Swiss U21 team. I am delighted to have been able to add two talented young players to my squad with the signing of Pajtim Kasami today, and Marcel Gecov last week, as I believe that they are going to be good additions to the squad both in the short and long term future.
Quick look on YouTube suggests he generally plays central midfield? I assume he’s likely to be a backup/understudy to Murphy?
No sign of those wing whippets yet.
More of an attacking option out of the Central Midfield. With his pace, I believe he could play out wide as well. I watched him play last year and walked away impressed, which is frankly why I wasn’t buying this rumor initially.
Good signing that could turn into a great signing.
