Jol used the post match press conference on Thursday as an opportunity to shower praise on our Bobby Zamora:
“He’s a great targetman. We are not 100% fit yet but he is scoring goals – and as long as he is scoring goals I am happy with him.
“If he doesn’t we’ve all got a problem as a team. He had an injury last year so is coming back.
“He’s going to get fitter and if he is fit he is a terrific player.”
Hopefully we see another full season from him again. As he enters his fourth with us, I don’t think anyone could have expected the impact he’s made since he joined. May it continue.
