After spending the last couple of months of last season on loan at Bournemouth (with mixed success) young forward Dalla Valle is keen to get more first team football under his belt. The Fulham Chronicle have a little piece of him; this is what he had to say on the benefits of a loan move:

“I need to have a chat with the manager and see what he thinks is the best for me. It is important for young players to play games.

“My loan spell at Bournemouth helped me a lot. In League One there’s more long ball and you need to fight a lot.

“It helps develop young players and in front of big crowds as well.”

He concedes that being behind Dempsey, Dembele, Johnson and Zamora could make it tough for a young striker to make an impression:

“They are top players. All I can do is my best and see where that takes me.”

I’ve only seen very little of him and they were in games which might not have suited a ‘fox in the box’ player like Dalla Valle but his movement looks sharp. Whether he’ll make it or not I dont know.
