Sky Sports are reporting that a number of clubs are interested in signing Fulham’s teenage striker Richard Peniket.

Signing Peniket from Walsall two years ago was quite a coup for Fulham with a number of top sides, including Manchester United, had been keen on taking the youngster from Swindon. Peniket apparently chose Fulham after being impressed with the club’s professionalism and family atmosphere.

Peniket had a good season last year as Fulham’s Under-18s won the Southern academy league, losing in the national final to Everton, and has impressed during outings for Wales Under-19s. Sky Sports suggests that Wolves, Birmingham and Rangers are keen on poaching Peniket but Fulham will certain resist any attempts to prise him from Craven Cottage.
