The Fulham Chronicle reports that Martin Jol is likely to have to work with Mark Hughes’ backroom staff at Fulham after none of them decided to follow the Welshman in quitting Craven Cottage.
Fulham will have to honour the contracts of Mark Bowen, Glyn Hodges and Eddie Niedzwiecki, which have a year to run, as well as retaining goalkeeping coach Kevin Hitchcock and former manager Ray Lewington, who has been a long-standing member of the coaching staff at Motspur Park. This complicates Jol’s desire to bring in Michael Lindeman, who has worked alongside him at a number of previous jobs, and his brother Cock. It looks as though Chris Hughton, who is reported to favour a return to management rather than working under Jol as he did at Tottenham, is keen on landing the vacant manager’s position at Cardiff.
Well that’s sh*t.
Guess we’re calling their bluff and expecting them to quit when Hughes gets sorted but I’d be happier that we employed Lindeman and give them the crap jobs like cleaning out the boot cupboard and updating the filing system.
