The Sunday Mirror says Newcastle are willing to sell skipper Kevin Nolan if any club matches their £4m valuation.
Newcastle have rejected an audacious £1.5m from relegated West Ham, who were keen to reunite Nolan with his former Bolton boss Sam Allardyce. The midfielder remains keen to stay at St. James’ Park but the paper reports that, with the club claiming he has turned down a new contract, Nolan now feels that they may be encouraging him towards the exit door.
Fulham’s interest is briefly noted in the piece, but Rich wrote a really good article the other day on why Nolan might be a bit of a steal. It’s well worth a read.
The People says Jol is keeping tabs on Jenas but Demblel won’t be sold and that Hughton will come in August. Also Mirror says we are after Joe Cole.
