The Bournemouth Daily Echo are carrying an exclusive report linking Fulham to the Cherries’ young striker Danny Ings.

The paper claims that Fulham’s scouts were alerted to the 18-year-old whilst they were at Dean Court monitoring the progress of Finnish forward Lauri Dalle Valle, a recent signing from Liverpool who spent the second half of the season on loan at Bournemouth. Ings scored eight times in 23 appearances to help Bournemouth reach the League One play-offs, where they were beaten by Huddersfield in an enthralling semi-final.

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell is quoted as valuing Ings between £1m and £2m but insists that the club’s financial position won’t force them to sell one of their brightest talents.
