Mahamadou Diarra says he wants to move to England this summer.
The Mali international has been linked with a move to Stoke or Fulham and is looking for a new club after his Monaco contract expired at the end of last season. Diarra is expected to move on after Monaco were relegated from Ligue 1 even though the club are apparently keen to keep hold of him. The former Real Madrid holding midfielder says he has had several options, but would prefer to move to the Premier League:
Yes, the Premier League is somewhere I would love to play and I’m looking forward to that. I have other contacts, but a very good club in England would be my favourite option.
I am looking forward to next season. To be honest, if injuries do not come, I will have a great season.
