Gael Kakuta is hoping his loan spell at Fulham will end with a regular run of games and a top-10 finish.
The teenage winger linked up with the Cottagers in January, making the short trip across west London from Chelsea.
The Blues were happy for the French starlet to take in a spell at Craven Cottage, allowing him to pick up valuable first-team experience.
Kakuta has been given those opportunities over recent weeks and made his first start for Fulham in their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
The 19-year-old is now looking to sign off in style, with it his aim to end the 2010/11 campaign as positively as possible.
“We have been on a good run of form so it was frustrating that we couldn’t extend that,” Kakuta said on the defeat to United.
“Having played, of course, it’s my hope to be involved in more games as the season draws to an end.
“I’m enjoying my time at Fulham, where I feel I have improved further as a player and I’d love to play my part in what will hopefully be a strong finish to the season.”
Kakuta has now made four appearances for the Cottagers and feels he has taken a step forward with each outing.
He added: “It was good to get a whole game under my belt. It’s something I have waited a little while for, so of course this was very pleasing.
“I had a few good moments, but I think I could have done better. However, the game will have done me a lot of good.”
